The morning was gorgeous, and I left Baz watering the plants on our roof garden and took off for a short run along the Seine. It must have been a busy day for travel today, the sky was zig zagged with streams from the planes again.
On the way home I spotted a famous brand name just around the corner from home....
After another yummy bakery breakfast, we finished our packing and tidied up ready to head to the station for our train to Strasbourg. We we all sad to wave goodbye to our Paris home, but maybe we'll be back again one day.
We managed to safely negotiate all our bags through the metro and to station Gare L'Est ready to board our high speed train. Here's Jack and bear wishing Paris farewell, as we rolled through the suburbs.
The train was very comfortable with plenty of room, and the trip passed quickly even though our train was delayed for nearly an hour during the trip. At times I'm sure it was going at full speed but it didn't feel like it- up to 198 miles per hour!
We have checked into a hotel rather than an apartment for these three days, so Amy and I did a quick walk out for some snacks rather than raid the mini bar. Here's a pic especially for Susie.
So far the city looks lovely, we plan to head off to the 'Petite France' area for dinner and to find some room to burn some energy from the kids. They are very bouncy after spending most of the day sitting down!
