Au Revoir Burgundy

We bid Madame Nicole and our Burgundy home a sad farewell this morning, we have had such a nice rest and been made so welcome there it really felt like home. Nicole packed us a delicious picnic for the road, and so we hit the road with Lake Annecy in our sights.

The drive took us on toll roads, through tunnels and some country highways, and other than a few hairy (high speed) moments through some road works it all went smoothly and we arrived in the centre of Annecy to find a room for the night. We found a basic place with parking right near the centre of town, and set off to burn some energy and explore.

We headed for the lake to kick the footy and enjoy some lovely sunshine.

More to follow tomorrow it's time to sleep now and given the party in the park outside our hotel window it could be tricky!
